About Jennifer

Jennifer Chamandi Boghossian is a shoe designer, now based in London, Jennifer was born and grew up in Lebanon. An Economics graduate from the London School of Economics, Jennifer had an accomplished career as a senior banker, but her childhood dream to create shoes never left her even on the trading floor.

Deciding to finally channel her business acumen into her passion, Jennifer launched her namesake brand in 2016. Dedicating herself fully to learning her new craft Jennifer learnt Italian in order to properly communicate with her craftsmen and women, while immersing herself in the world of shoes at Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion.

While collections evolve and develop, designs are underpinned by a methodical
precision and a true understanding of luxury. Jennifer remains devoted to the key tenets of her aesthetic: a reduction to essentials of form and colour. As an accessories universe unfolds, her approach has built a global and dedicated following. Academic in its rigour, Jennifer employs an analytical approach to
her designs enabling the creation of true masterpieces that support and empower women.

An advocate of the Anna Freud Centre and Smart Works Charity, Jennifer maintains a powerful belief in karmic energy which she channels through the brand with philanthropy. Ensuring that beautiful product always has a beautiful purpose.

About the brand

Established in 2016, Jennifer Chamandi is a British shoe brand defined by an instinctive sense of what a woman needs now and forever. Confidence inducing designs inspire women to step into their power and forge their own path. This dedication to harnessing the female authority sees the brand centre around an aesthetic that is as daring as it is timeless.

The bespoke offering is a core part of the business as Jennifer Chamandi invites
women into her intimate creative process. Emotive and thought provoking, this direct exchange between founder and customer has seen Jennifer Chamandi build a loyal following around the world.

Working in close collaboration with a family run Italian atelier, each design is a masterpiece, the sum of artisanal excellence, mathematical precision and a creative mindset. A commitment to technical prowess and comfort ensures each piece is hand crafted to perfection. The brand distinguishes itself with the revolutionary patented Eye of the Needle construction that has become a founding signature, embedded into each shoe and inlaid into every heel.

ABOUT THE HANDBAGS

Another step forward in the evolution of the Jennifer Chamandi brand and its mission to empower its community through design, Le 8 handbag is the perfect mathematical equation.

The name itself, Le 8, is reference to so many things the designer holds dear and close, from Jennifer’s love of mathematics to her lucky number, 8 takes on infinite meanings for the brand.

Influenced by the purity of abstract geometry, Le 8 strikes the perfect balance of grace and precision. Handcrafted by a family-run artisan atelier in Italy, each handbag is designed with a sharp focus on proportions and an emphasis on minimalist yet feminine aesthetic. Paying homage to Jennifer’s love for the much-forgotten art of handwritten notes, the design is inspired by the structure of an envelope. The iconic ‘Eye Of The Needle’ buckle features prominently, while, the removable signature strap is the connecting link to the fundamental principle of design in her shoes, allowing the versatility of wearing the handbag as a clutch or top handle.

As part of the brand’s commitment to inspire change, 10% of proceeds from the sale of Le 8, via our website, will go directly to the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, a UK-based world-leading mental health charity. Their vision is a world where all children and families are supported to build on their strengths to achieve their goals in life – an organisation closely aligned with the core values of Jennifer Chamandi. Our joint mission is to empower communities to overcome mental health challenges in order not to just survive, but thrive.
